I was 18 years old in 1988 so I was really feeling rap music and I lived in New York - where all the hottest rap music was coming from. That was the last period (except for Biggie and Tupac) where I just could'nt wait for a rap album to come out and be the first to have it on the block. I used to love those debates about who's the best MC? Big Daddy kane or Rakim. It was a great time. I used to listen to Mr. magic's - Rap Attack on WBLS every Friday. Do u guys remember that?

Jay Bloodrock and the Supreme team. on WHBI in Ny back in 1980 When I was in college in the late 80's/early 90's, I wasn't too far away from the city, and a lot of my boys lived there, so they'd bring me tapes Chillout, Mr. Magic, and Red Alert, on W-B-L-Kickin-SSS!!!!! Around that time I discovered the real hip-hop. Sure, you had NWA, D.O.C., and Cube and others from the West Coast, but then you had PE and BDP at their heights, the rise of the Native Tongues, groups like Brand Nubian and X-Clan, KMD, Gang Starr, even on down the line to the Downtown Sciences, et al. From '88-'92, the music was nothing short of revolutionary. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

:lol:That's hillarious.....you got a big cock and my days are numbered..BRILLIANT! Seriously, hip hop in its present state is the most destructive art form ever unleashed on huamnity. Question; Wouldn't society be better off if it never existed seeing the end result? 1 over Jordan...the greatest since

Ok, I'm gonna add a reply to this thread. If I say anything offensive I apologize but this is my opinion on hip-hop/rap these days. It is really putting a bad name on black people. There are people out there now that think that all black people wanna thugs, act ghetto etc. I don't why those rappers call women bitches and hoes but if my man ever did that, he'd be out the door. I wonder how some of these rappers treat their girlfriends. People will copy some of the latest trends out there. I was at some party and some guys got into a fight. Some of the people had to move back. I was talking to this girl and this white guy was like hey bitch. She got really mad. Where did he hear that from. Rappers who call women bitches and hoes. Rap is hott right now and so is doing what the rappers do. I dunno why people buy this crap. It has gone totally downhill. The best rap/hip hop came out in the late eighties-early nineties- to mid nineties. Also, the videos were pretty decent not this crap that we have now. It went pretty much downhill from there. I love all types of music but this degrading women, violence, promting drugs type rap/hip/hop has got to stop.

Why do some women get heated when they just hear some rapper say bitch. There is adifferance between a bitch and a women, lady, etc. When I hear a rapper say something like punk ass nigga. I know that they are aint refering to me. [Edited 7/19/05 10:46am]
