A-HA to play first US concert in two decades Well to be exact it was in 1986 when AHA last played a show on American Soil, since then they have gone on to sell 30 million albeums worldwide, but have been ignored by the USA except if you count the bands like COLDPLAY, KEANE, SNOW PATROL etc that the USA embraces that have all Been influenced (stolen) from AHA.
Well the Dream (at least for me) has finally come true. AHA will be playing a US date and it will be in NYC, thank GOD!!! The date as of right now is Sept 12th at Irving Plaza, tickets are not yet on sale however, i guess they are waiting on a secured date, since they will be doing alot of traveling for just one show! ThankU God! "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Take on Me - Finale Take on Me - Encore Think that joke has been used before. But anyway not surprised that "take on me" was the only thing the USA could handle, Simple song, simple lyrics, once AHA started to get deep and soul search America couldnt handle that. But no surprise, I mean this is the Country that makes stars out of peeps like.....hmmm "just insert any American Idol person here" or any current "Rock or RB artist or anyone on trial or dead" [Edited 6/20/05 21:40pm] "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

[Edited 6/20/05 21:49pm] [Edited 6/20/05 21:50pm] AHA's sound that has matured since 1988, the last time they use any Synths on their records. Basically its all acoustic, piano, guitar, bass. Basically what U hear from bands like Coldplay and keane NOW are what AHA has been doing for the last 15 years, as usual America is SLOW! I know 99 percent of people are closing their ears to AHA and thats cool, but that once percent that havent heard their recent stuff, GO FIND IT and take the chance on some real music. As far as videos go, AHA's best videos were made recently, their video for VELVET from 2000 won Video of the year in Europe and their video LIFELINES did the same in 2002, and they werent even cartoons in these.
