Anyone checked these guys out live? Fucking awesome and well funky. If you get the chance I would highly recommend it!

Only seen them live on BBC's coverage of this year's Glastonbury Festival. It certainly came across as a damn fine performance - with one major addition that is lacking from so many gigs: FUN!

I've seen them live twice. The first time was basically just a DJ gig. It was fun as hell, but still just 2 guys spinning records.

The second time was an actual show- with dancers, vocalists, etc. That was AMAZING and is in my top 10 list of most fun shows ever. (It was in support of Rooty)

I was not impressed by Kish Kash but I would still love to see them again...

I was there. They were excellent that day. The set was a bit short though. I saw them last year in london and they did a complete set. Wicked shit...

Let me rephrase, I really like 1/2 of it, but the rest leaves me a bit cold. It just didn't grab me quite as hard as the first 2 did...

I haven't gotten a chance to see them pout btw, I love the album Kish Kash. "Kish Kash" and "Lucky Star" were constantly on repeat when I first got the album.

Strikingly, that is exactly my problem with all their albums to date; one half is generally avarage to good,
while the other half is definately under par, being it filler or just songs that have not matured enough to be on an album.

I do like the productional concepts they come up with and I plan on seeing them live, have come close to actually going,
but nothing thusfar. Are they coming out with something soon?

i really like 'kish kash', and if 'rooty' had never happened, i'd probably say it's a great, great album...but i just gotta be honest - 'rooty' kicked my ass, continues to kick my ass, and will be kicking my ass for years to come. i don't know why. i can't tell you. i just love every last crumb of that album.

and based on that, 'kish kash' could be little else than a disappointment to me. at first i thought i didn't like the album at all, but recently i was looking at the liner notes and realizing i really liked most of the songs on the album...i think my only problem with it is that it's not 'rooty'! nuts

i haven't heard their first album. i'm sure i'll pick it up some day.

To me the problem is that it reaches too hard. Tries to be too many things to too many people. And the guests overwhelm it. It has some great tracks but it just doesn't flow or something.
