OMG! Paul Anka does jazz standards of grunge and metal tunes

Anyone here ever heard of Paul Anka? He's some old singer-songwriter who started out in the 1950's singing songs like "Diana", "Put Your Head On My Shoulder", "Puppy Love", and "Having My Baby". He also wrote the song "My Way" for Frank Sinatra. Anyway, he just put out an album of cover tunes done to jazz/big band stylings. Unfortunately, these are covers of Nirvana, Soundgarden, Bon Jovi, Van Halen and The Cure. omfg Well, if you have to check it out, here's the tracklisting:

1. Eye Of The Tiger (Survivor)
2. Jump (Van Halen)
3. Everybody Hurts (R.E.M.)
4. Wonderwall (Oasis)
5. Black Hole Sun (Soundgarden)
6. It's My Life (Bon Jovi)
7. It's A Sin (Pet Shop Boys)
8. True (Spandau Ballet)
9. Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana)
10. Hello (Lionel Richie)
11. Eyes Without A Face (Billy Idol)
12. Lovecats (The Cure)
13. The Way You Make Me Feel (Michael Jackson)
14. Tears In Heaven (Eric Clapton)

I saw the story on Paul Anka's walk on the wild side on Entertainment Tonight (I think). Kind of scary.

Just imagine Tony Orlando covering Purple Rain (which he did on the Jerry Lewis telethon Thanksgiving 2003). It was the darkest day in music history from the opening chords of the song to his warbling the lyrics. Thankfully, it was a short!

Wait until you hear Richard Cheese.

Dig Steve and Eydie doing "Black Hole Sun." from Lounge A Polooza. (Pardon the spelling.)

If you go on road trips and you get tired of listening to everyone's SAME cd's put it on. (It's best enjoyed with a few beers or whatever you may have with you.)

It's funny how people are starting to do this. DRAG QUEENS have been doing this for decades. I originally heard Black Hole Sun in San Francisco sung by a Drag Queen and it was done really well but it was hilarious. After that I heard RICHARD CHEESE do it. He's the best I think.

You have to hear Richard Cheese do CHOP SUEY by System Of A Down.
