Night Ranger had this very cool, and somewhat different hit titled "Sister Christian" off of their "Midnight Madness" album from 83. And man, was it a hit. I remember this was "our" theme in school. In the valley out here in So. Cal, it played at house parties, in cars, no matter where u went, there it was. This song nailed the young teenage years dead on the head. First serious love, first serious sex, first serious heartbreak, first serious trying to be cool, all of that goes with this song playing in the background.

It's funny..when I saw Night Ranger play this song live on "The Rock Palace" it wasn't as popular (...just yet)..I thought the lyric was "Your a Motorhead"(lol)..not realizing it was "your motoring". Jack Blades and Brad Gillis used to play in a cover band called Rubicon doing Sly And The Family Stone songs in the mid 70's.

This song is a guilty pleasure.

When I saw this thread, I thought about "Boogie Nights" also. I have the DVD and a friend and I was watching it last weekend and tripping out at that part. "Sister Christian" was playing in the background and some crazy fool was shooting firecrackers in the guy's living room. That was funny as hell.
