I wouldn't. You ever been kicked with a stiletto heel? It's no fun, and leaves a lovely purpley greenish mark.

oh whatever. bono is right on point and anyone who disagrees is just a prince geek who thinks their hero can do no wrong.

its so stupid that people get on bono for being blunt, speaking his mind, and getting things done. when prince says blunt things all i ever hear from people on this site is "preach!" or "prince is telling the truth!" or, worse yet, his stupid comments get repeated by some of you. yet, bono gets involved in world politics because it matters to him...bono does his best to create change rather than just talk about it...and people say he has a god complex. duh. its so stupid. i suppose it would be better if he didn't care about anything and just made mindless music. oh wait...then he'd get bashed for that.

whatever.

keep it up bono...world government's are finally starting to act. (anyone see bush and blair increase their efforts for aid to africa?)

Or perhaps we're artists. As far as I can recall neither Mozart nor Picasso had editors. I don't hear anybody screaming for Sting or Paul McCartney to let outside producers dictate what they release. It's just a fact of life that for every When Doves Cry you're gonna get a Jughead. The problem is some people expect too much. You've got to take the good with the bad if you're gonna find those few magical moments. Who are we to tell another person not to release their music because we think it sucks? Hell if I were Bono's editor he'd still be working on his first album.

I have no problem with somebody speaking their mind. Bono can say whatever he wants as far as I'm concerned. He just happens to be misguided.

find me a bad mozart recording. believe it or not, some geniuses know when their work is great and when its only common. if a genius doesn't need an editor (because he or she edits him or herself) then great. prince, on the other hand, needs an editor. lol

for the record, bono is also saying HE needs an editor and his band mates provide that editing. hmmm...remember prince at his artistic peak? take a look at the musicians he was working with at the time. they were not musicians who simply learned how to play prince's music on command (like his current band). they helped shape the sound and my guess is they told him when something wasn't working. prince could use have used that sort of influence since, oh i don't know, 1988.

Being right-wing, you should, though wink

Oh, and for the record, I feel Bono's political activism has been accomplishing good things, but I think he should be a little more professional about what he says about other artists. This goes for every artist, Prince included. I sure as hell am not one of the people from the Prince: Music & More forum.

I agree with Bono. It's impossible for any artist to be objective about their own music,so it helps to have other people around who can offer an honest opinion/evaluation.
