[i]I'll Be Loving You (Forever) - yep. RNB enough. Imagine delfonics signing this baby*Valentine Girl- nope
*Let's Try It Again- cant remember this one
*If You Go Away- nope. Walter a (producer) dont have an rnb bone in his body. Sounds like a bolton or mariah song) *Hangin' Tough- nope. More "rock" then rnb
*I Remember When- hell no.
*Whatcha Gonna Do (About It)- maybe. Groove is their.
*Baby, I Believe In You- definately. Remix was even better. Underated slowjam
*Please Don't Go Girl- yep. Rips off "is this the end", but its better.

Sam was pop by the way. Don't front. wink

Anyway, good to see people discussing NKOTB anyway.

Uh...No. Sam Cooke was NOT pop.

Famous stuff is. Even "chain gang" (is that right) is pop. It is commercial sounding. The production and everything.

Nah, u don't qualify to play house with Ms. Legs. U have to at least know how to play an instrument. Oh, by the way, did you go and take those banjo lessons like I told u?

I see this might get out of hand with you, bro. Relax. I had a response for you in that other thread that they deleted (Nothing shocks me anymore here as they try and supporess the Black voice here), so I will post MY response to you about that very thread:

NEO

-

Damn! They havent even thrown the dirt over my coffin and Hottie done jumped ship on me! Good god! I'm gonna have to start calling you Mayte! Turncoatin' on a brotha to get with the next rock star! LOL!

And when did U ever check me on music, Hottie? Speak on it!

But since we're all sticking out our "musical background" dicks, let me jump into the fray with my 12 inches wink :

-My Grandmother is a classical/opera-trained vocalist

-My Pops is a trained classical pianist

-My brother played bass for an L.A.-based rock band back in the early-mid 80s, heavily influenced by The Police and Missing Persons

-My sister was a backup singer for Chante Moore when she toured in 94 and she dropped 2 R&B albums

-My godpops is jazz guitarist great Kenny Burrell

-In the mid 80s, I played drums for what would now be called what The Roots are doing: A hip-hop band with a rapper as the lead

-And in the early 80s-mid 80s, my best friend's brother and cousin played bass/guitar for an L.A. based Funk group heavily influenced by Prince, Jesse, and Parliament/Funkadelic

So, let's see, I have Opera, Classical, Rock, Pop, Jazz, R&B, Funk, and Hip-Hop in my musical background

So it's safe to say I knows muh shit too! (wink!)

Kreme - show me where I ever came at you foul on this topic? YOU came at ME sideways and I fired back.

BlackG - chill, bro. It aint that deep. I'm pretty sure you're a bomb ass axe player. We took this too far and we shouldn't have gone there with each other. So we're cool.

Laura - I have NO idea why you're so angry. You've even hit me up in orgnotes talkin shit for no apparent reason about how rappers are ignorant. why? did i ask you to orgnote me on this topic? no. u seem cool, but sometimes you trip me out wit' ya "diary of a mad black woman" vibe.

Hotstuff - I though we was cool! LOL! I saw you APPLAUDING my absence! FUNK YOU, TOO THEN!

Overall - Look, I think we ALL agree that Funkadelic was a funk band that was also very adept at playing different styles of music, rock being one of them. Do we ALL agree on that?

Lastly - Yall talk some good smack. I liked that shit. Especially the chicks: Kreme and Laura dont back down from shit! LOL! And I thought BlackG was gonna send me an invite to one of his gigs and sit me right in front of the LOUDEST speaker, plug himself in and start rippin'! LOL!

Oh, and Hottie - NO MORE DICK FOR U! wink

There you have it. Deal with it the best way you know how, dawg.

I wondered where u had bounced too. And I was just getting warmed up too. But uh, yeah, I got a ticket for u in the front row. But if u sit that close to MY speaker cabinet, your ears will be ringing for a few days. Maybe I'll let u sit in on drums, that is of course, if u don't mind playing some hard rock mixed with funk!

Thats cool BG that you're getting her out there. It's great to see more of us out there doing our thing in the area Rock .

hmmm It's unfortunate that we could've hooked something up . Unfortunately, the timing was never right b/c I had too much going on. In my case, as you already know I am a educator who as well as a vocalist. Of course, now its summer vacation and I have less responsiblities. However, I have been considering to shift my focus more on Jazz which is my second love next to Rock
