This can be confusing because so many artists have STYLISTS hired to make them fly.
An authentic style icon to me would be Cyndi Lauper, with her crazy-ass vintage looks. | |

 Uh, hell yeah Marc Bolan! Bowie was really influenced by him. He's very underrated. Prince has also taken looks from him. Marc used to wear purple lame jackets (Prince 1999) and white fur coats (Prince SOTT) etc. He was pretty much the spearhead of the whole glam rock genre.
