"Touch and Go" is one of my faves. Except maybe the chorus.
The country tinge.
The verse parts are like some Rush/Genesis type things that they or many others didn't sound like at the time. IMO

Good thread, MG. I love the Cars. I saw them on the Shake It Up tour in, um, '81(?). They were a good live band.

This album sounded less poppy, more artsy and experimental, to me than their 2 prior releases.

On Touch and Go, I thought using that 5/4 very upscale city vibe against the 4/4 kinda-kountry chorus pretty clever. lol

I really like all the tunes on the album with favorites being...
Touch And Go
Gimme Some Slack
Down Boys
You Wear Those Eyes
