When I was younger I loved Billy very much, but I haven't listened to him in recent years.
The man was a great songwriter, musician, and singer.
His music continued to get richer and better throughout a bitter divorce and drug addiction, until his marraige to a supermodel, which. while great for him personally, didn't do much for his music, which then proceeded to grow dull.

I think his best albums were "Cold Spring Harbor" "The Stranger" 'The Nylon Curtain" and "Tell Her about it", a great tribute to doo-wop and early rock.

The live album "Songs in the Attic" is one of the best ever made, alternating thundering arena performances with cuts from small clubs...a real showcase for him as musician and songwriter.

i grew up with Billys music at a young age, and i always have a found memory of his music but as i got older i respect his words allot and get really upset that allot of people i know diss him because he is corny and poppy, they obviously havent listened to his albums,

for me Billy and BOB Dylan are the gods of lyrical music.
