Green Day live - Sat June 18th I'm off to see Green Day at Milton Keynes Bowl (70,000 capacity outside venue in UK). Both tomorrow and Sunday's gigs are being filmed for compilation into a live DVD.
I'm not a massive fan, to be honest my wife is the fan, but for what they do, they do it very well and their live act is veyr professional but still passionate. I'll let you know how it is on Monday. [Edited 6/20/05 4:15am]

SO, The verdict:
Saturday was a ridiculously HOT, sunny June day - and as anyone from the UK will know, we don't get many of those over here. With 65,000 in attendance and the full video screens and delay-towers package, this, as the band themselves admitted on stage, was the band's biggest concert in their history so far..and their performance justified the scale of the event. The sound was excellent, the band were tight, never dropping a beat or a note but making it look effortless. Some great pyrotechnics and fireworks, both during and after the show, great singalong moments, the now-usual get-a-load-of-kids-up-on-stage-to-play-the-instruments segment. Oh, and a pink bunny rabbit conducting YMCA before the band started. Honest. The only real criticism is that Billy Joe milked the "Hello Eeeeeenglaaaaand!" routine a little too much, but hey, he was excited, I'll let him off on this occasion. Highly recommended - check them out if you get chance, you will be genuinely surprised by the quality of the show they put on.
