I'd say that surely depends on wether the term "superstar" should only have positive connotations... don't really know how to say what I mean.
He's no Usher nowadays, but in terms of publicity and everyone having an opnion on him, he's by FAR the biggest superstar.

1. Sort of.
2. Not Usher. | |

he is the biggest superSTAR, definetly not the biggest POP star as he is not releasing music right now, but superstar, he is indeed. i mean whos more famous than him?
and when thinking more about it, i guess you could still call him the biggest popstar, i mean who elses 'flop' album sells 8 million? [Edited 6/17/05 3:12am]

Jackson couldve stopped making records in the 80s and he would still be the #1 superstar! He is a living legend. No one has done what he has done. Jermaine is right.

Jermaine is stuck in the 80's. Look at his haircut. He thinks "moonwalker" will break box office records this christmas.

Michael Jackson use to be a superstar. He now is a pathetic person who needs help & should have gotten it years ago. Jermaine should just shutup. He has to kiss Michael's ass. He is using this to push for another Jackson reunion tour. It's just sooo sad how this family pretends to not notice that Michael has a problem.

He's the #1 superstar in terms of being a freak & that's about it, sadly Used to be that his name would conjure the image of great dancing the melody of a great song. Now it just conjures up a headshake & speculation on his sanity/innocence/guilt. It's fucked up yo, to throw away legendary talent like that...
And yea, Jermaine needs a new fucking hairdo like YEARS ago!!! . [Edited 6/18/05 22:18pm]

MJ was the biggest superstar there's ever been, but to be honest that star has faded. He's still as famous as ever but he won't likely sell albums like he once did. However, if he turned his life around I guess anything's possible.

He could never release another album and still be the biggest star out there. His look and his craziness are enough to keep people talking about him for years, not to mention the crazy ass fans who would quit their jobs and stand outside the courtroom day after day. This trial has made him even bigger. Andy is a four letter word.

Sadly, MJ's true value now is as a shock act.
Everyone's waiting for the next stupid, crazy thing he'll do, not the next musical project he has in the works. MJ used to make ppl think of words like "genius" and "megastar", but now he just conjures up words like "freak" and "pedo". The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I have to admit,Mike has one of the largest, most loyal fanbases of all.His fans have had alot of craziness to put up with, and yet they're still supporting him.
