A Girl Called Oskar Anyone else here like Oskar Saville?
She is the lead singer for the 10,000 Maniacs since Mary Ramsay and John Lombardo left the group to be on their own again. She is the perfect singer to replace Natalie Merchant,her voice has that little vibrato to it, her range is very impressive,and she really brings a lot of emotion to her renditions of the songs. We went to a Maniacs concert in a bar last night and it was fabulous. Since it was a small crowd there was a lot of interaction between the band and everyone in the audience. Her solo album is called "A Girl called Oskar". "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

Her voice on her own record is a lot like Janice Joplin.She is absolutely my favorite female singer (at least for now)  "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss
