Just came from Madison Square Garden where los lonely boys opened for carlos santana.

those boys are GREAT!!!! Virtuosos. The illegitimate love children of Carlos Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and B.B. King, with a little Prince and Hendrix thrown in for seasoning. They are the power trio of the new millenium; severly underrated.

And Carlos? Magnificent! He was just...amazing. His whole vibe, his entire spirit, filled the hall. What a genuinely nice guy who can play his guitar off!

And his last song---a medley that included some obscure lyric "...we all want a love bizarre..."

Santana plays my area on September 15 and I can't wait.I've seen him in concert numerous times,and I have never been disappointed.Unfortunately,Los Lonely Boys will not be performing at this particular show

A friend of mine was teasing me over the fact that she was going to see that show in the Atlanta area last weekend.
I told her, "You're only seeing Santana while he's great. I saw him when he was really great!"

She a big Los Lonely Boys fan. Folks don't know what showmen they are until they see them live.
The first time I saw them perform was on a videotape or DVD of one of Willie Nelson's 4th of July picnic shows.

I love Los Lonely Boys, and of course Carlos Santana. Los Lonely Boys plays here in Austin quite a bit. I think that they even display a pic of Stevie Ray on the stage when they play.
