What's THE BEST site for upcoming record release dates?

Does Billboard have this kind of a thing on their web site? Is it free? It'd be cool to have a way to look into the future of what's gonna be waiting for me at the wrecka stow, so that way I'll know which months I'll be paying my bills. lol

hey, thanks!

according to billboard, the only new releases between now and july 5 that i'm anywhere near excited about are sinead o'connor's "collaborations" and stephin merritt's "two chinese operas".

of course, the can reissues might be nice, too...

Have you heard anything from it, advance singles or some such? I can only vaguely recall having read some press release a few months back that said that David Essex (of all people) was making a guest appearance.

i heard the first single, which you can preview on their official web site. i don't know who david essex is (though i'm sure i probably should), but i do know he's a contributor to the new st.et. album. nod

David Essex was a massively succesful British pop star - he had a smattering of hits in the US too - Rock On was the big one....but I'm really only aware of him because of this album:

Jeff Wayne's disco-fied version of War of the Worlds. Shameful to admit, but this record used to give me nightmares. lol

i keep hearing about that war of the worlds album...it looks like it'd either be a real hoot or really lame. or maybe a bit of both. lol

Oh, it's hopelessly silly but I still find it endlessly entertaining - but a lot of that is because it has sentimental value for me. I'm not sure anyone coming to it with fresh ears would like it much.

I really hope that he isn't going to cover the little heard PSB classic "Miracles". It's one of those songs that dserves to be covered but not like this. Not like this!

Well there be an official U.S. release? I'm not into paying import prices. Plus import CDs clash with the American flag that covers my wall.

Does anyone know which label the domestic CD is supposed to be on?

Our forefathers fought for independence so we wouldn't have to pay a big tariff on records pressed by King George. smile

I checked at HMV today, and they said this album didn't have a set domestic release date as of yet. This is in Canada, mind you - it's possible (but pretty unlikely - most albums get a wide North American release) that it is out in the US this week.

They didn't have the new Brian Eno album either. Bastards.
