at least 25 and up and be real. he's not ever going to capitalize on 1982-1984 so he should come out with a nice adult contempo album with nice upbeat jams thrown in and call it a day. actually half his fanbase are teenagers, i mean, i'm 15 and im a huge fan and most the people on his forums are teenagers, and also have you seen all the young people at his trial. I saw this question posed in a newspaper poll this morning. Here were the answers. "If he collaborates with other popular artists then he could resurrect his career. But I wouldn't buy the album." ~ Steven, 19, Bronx "If he comes out with an album talking about what's going on right now, then people would buy it. I would buy it, too." ~ Sylvia, 20, New Jersey "I have no idea. After all this, I don't think he'll ever be the same." ~ Chris, 20, Queens "He should make a song with 50 Cent." ~ Adam, 20, Manhattan WHAT DO YOU THINK MICHAEL SHOULD DO TO RESURRECT HIS CAREER? They ask people who weren't even able to enjoy Michael in his prime. Pathetic. Why didn't they poll older people who are/were real fans? Michael Jackson just needs to go back to singing some good R&B songs. Everyone seems to have forgotten his late 90's hit "You Are Not Alone" written by R. Kelly. If Jackson can work with some credible R&B songwriters like Babyface (have them write an entire album for him) and start singing real soul/R&B songs again, he'd earn some respect and credibility. Stay away from the shitty, negative hip-hop "artists" and "Timbaland"-style dance tracks. The main audience who are going to buy Michael Jackson albums are over 20 years old and who don't listen to that 50 Cent bullshit. [Edited 6/18/05 18:35pm]

this is simple and should have been done 10 years ago
mike needs 2 call quincy up..get some of the best session musicians (past and present) and some of the best pop songwriters (past and present..and definitely have rod temperton on board). NO guest rappers..NO guest singers..go far far faaaaar away from any distractions and make an album that's pleasing to them. it can still be done but the clock is ticking away... minor keys and drugs don't make a rollerskate jam

If that newspaper polled his fans, the opinions would be skewed. MJ does have many young fans. So I think it's legit to poll some kids (although it's *all* they polled). They could've thrown in one cat over 25. I'm around the age of those polled, but I remember seeing "Bad" when it aired on CBS back in 1987 and I do remember when his videos from Dangerous debuted simultaneously on MTV, BET and FOX ("Black or White" and "Remember The Time"). Everyone saw that. Those were huge events.
