Yep. But no evidence doesn't mean a thing. Reasonable doubt remains.

I agree with you.But if there is any reasonable doubt, you can't convict. The prosecution failed to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. The jury reached the right verdict.

I think he's guilty as sin but they just couldn't prove it. If not with this boy, maybe with one of the others. I sure don't think he has never molested any child. Apparently some of the jurors feel the same way too. The jurors played by their guidelines and I would have come to the same verdict they did because I could never send someone to prison if there was a chance I could be wrong.

That's my problem with it too...I expect it's most peoples' problem with it, who have a problem with the outcome.

But like I said in another thread to DavidEye, the real problem I have is that I REAAAALLLY want to play my Ultimate Collection guilt-free! wink

I honestly don't know what I would have done. Like they say, it's very hard to prove because it's usually one person's word against another person's. I sure would have tried to do everything I could to keep that shady con artist mother from testifying. Even if she was telling the truth, you can't trust a damn con artist.

I guess I would have stressed the pornography and alcohol to the end because that's the part that I can't understand. If Michael weren't doing adult things, I could believe that he is still "a man that has never grown up". The fact that he looks at porn means he gets horny so why is he sleeping with someone else's child? Finding the pornography (no matter if it's straight, gay, or kiddie porn), for me, blows the whole "asexual" bit. I guess that's the route I would have taken but it would still be the boy's word against Michael's. I probably would have drugged that sorry ass mother and kept her tied up until the trial was over. lol

Well, I've always believed he was guilty of these charges and past allegations and i still think he is and i still believe he committed the crime.
The mother who pressed the charges though is another looney, so it was looney vs looney. Honestly, the mother was a less than credible witness and her past history with trying to make money off false allegations ruined this trial.

I honestly believe MJ got away with the crime again, but child molesters don't stop molesting children when they're not behind bars, so give it some time and i'm sure we'll see him facing the jury again

Yeah, the boy's mother ruined the prosecution's case. She has a long history of filing bogus lawsuits, lying under oath, and persuading her children to do the same. The jury absolutely didn't like her,and they didn't believe a word she said.Plus, she had tried in the past to get money from other celebrities.Perhaps Thomas Sneddon should have investigated the mother a little bit before bringing this case against Michael?

It was not just the Arvizos, like I said ALL the prosection witnesses were either sued by or sued MJ in the past and got thousands of $s from tabloids.

I agree with you that MJ is a paedophile, and he will definitely do it again at some point.

MJ was, however, rightly acquitted in this instance because the case against him was based on flimsy evidence and his accusers were proven extortionists and liars. Who would you believe? The jury made the right call.

They may have thought that there was a possibility that Arvizo was telling the truth - and they may even believe that Jackson is indeed a paedophile - but the likelihood that he and his mother were lying was too high to find him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I would have acquitted him on those grounds.
There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

So,did the prosecution have any credible witnesses? I didn't follow the case day-to-day,so that's why I'm wondering.

I think Michael has graduated from a being a child to being a teenager. Michael has finally reached puberty. Hopefully, after this, he will reach adulthood. lol

Of course teenage boys love to look at porn. Lord knows I did. But when I got horny from it and wanted to have sex, it was with someone my own age. Michael is an adult and is never seen with anything but young boys. Yes, there's a chance that there may be a grown man or woman he's fooling with, but if there is, this person should have stepped forward and attempted to get him out of this mess.

I think they should have dug more into his sex life and sexual preferences. True enough, it's no one's business but it sure could have helped him out. Also, if he couldn't tell what his preference was and couldn't come up with any grown sexual partners, this could have help the prosecutors.

And we still share the same feelings towards todays mid tempo shit.

Of course, nothing changes that and even if Michael was proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt, it still wouldn't affect how I love his music.

I can't honestly believe that if MJ released a new album, that it would sell well. All this negative press fucked over his chances of a hit record IMHO.
Whether they said he's not guilty, it can't take away this controversy and all the negative press.
