James Brown Is Annie Sun'll come out 'ta tomorrow, Betcha bottom dollar tomorrow Gonna Shine tomorrow Hit A Cobweb End of Story Anyone else remember this classic sketch and song from Saturday Night Live? I have been watching my old best of Eddie Murphy VHS the last few days and I cannot stop laughing. The combination of The Godfather of Soul and Annie is brilliant! Why won't they release the original best of Eddie Murphy and Saturday Night live on DVD instead of that watered down version? [Edited 7/19/05 15:06pm]

Yeah, this skectch is just as good, and it may be even funnier because its so absurd. You must track down the best of Eddie Muphy vhs released 1989, its the best one.

yeah its not on that DVD. It's on the Best of Eddie Murphy Saturday Night live VHS released in 1989. They omitted most of the best material on the SNL re-release. It's now a rarity because its no longer manufactured but you can find it on Ebay. I remember renting it as a child and finally got my hands on a copy last week for 4 bucks. Best money I've spent this year.

That 1989 "Best Of" is hysterical. We used to play that at parties and people would be on the floor cracking up. This is the Eddie I miss. Guess I'm gonna have to hit E-Bay and get a copy of this.

Yes, as well as White Like Me, Here's Cos, Jesse Jackson and his vocal apology to the Jews, and Little Richard Simmons.
