Yeah, he makes some really good ones. "Ray Of Gob" was so good, it was cleared by both Madonna and John Lydon and released officially! I don't think Ray of Gob is that good. It's not that creative. Now if we could mash her up with "I'm so pretty, you're so pretty....PRETTY VACANT"... now that might be something. But as it is it's just the Sex Pistols playing back-up to one of my least fave Madonna songs. There's nothing subversive about it. Probably why the Madonna camp liked it okay. | |

That's exactly what I like about it and mash-ups in general. They take songs that I don't really care for and make them sound great just by putting the music of another well-known song behind it. Just give me the original.It's not a real mash-up if it isn't at least a little sacrilegious. Go Home Productions made one combining Usher's "Yeah" with Rasmus' "In The Shadows". Whatcha Want, Lady is my favorite in that collection. Then again, I also think the Beasties are kind of played out in the mash up genre. a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on | |
