You said it for me! I'm sooooo tired of people taking a rumor and running with it. It's as if because someone said it, it's true! And, as you said, even it it IS, so what? If they're not going to be YOUR lover, what does it matter?

ok,the thread is asking who is gay meaning w/actual facts and who do u THINK is gay.yes, some ppl may get their thoughts from rumors but some of us like me just think it...we may have exactly no info on the artist's status-we just personally think...and no we shouldnt care and i dont just out of pure fun...well,i wouldnt say fun..hmmm boredom neutral
Well PleasurePrinciple, if someone thought you were gay and spread a rumor over the internet, would you think that was funny? Particularly in a mostly homophobic society and such rumor would affect your livelihood?

I wouldn't be surprised if all of them were trade. They certainly look, dress, and act the part. Real straight men are not overly masculine to the extreme like trade men are.

He's also the wackest "gay rapper" to make a name for himself. He pretty much played up the "gay rapper" controversy to draw attention in the media. His lyrics are elementary at best. What the h*ll was "Rainbows & Skittles"? The dude was nothing but a hairdresser to the stars. Most LGBT emcees don't even take him seriously, but they do give him props for putting himself out there. There are FAR BETTER, more lyrically saavy LGBT emcees that would evaporate Caushun.

To a point, I don't think there's anything wrong with discussing who is/isn't might/mightn't be gay. It's a bit wishy washy to not want to discuss it just because society wouldn't approve. We all do it. Ultimately, people will come out when and if they're ready. No amount of speculation is going to force the issue. People were discussing George Michael's sexuality for years and years before he finally (embarrassingly) came out. The bitter part of me also thinks that if somebody is making a mockery of gay culture by being a blatant homophobe, oh well...you reap what you sow.

evillol I love to see those types of people busted out. I was reading an article in the newspaper the other day, about a republican politician that that had openly opposed gay rights for years. He got caught in a chat room on the internet trying to hook up with an 18 year old man.

At first he said that incident didn't necessarily make him gay. When people started digging into his past and found some dirt, then he turned around and said "People are trying to destroy me because I'm gay". He's been against gays all along but when his ass gets in trouble, he wants their sympathy. I think he got what he deserved and I am glad to see him feeling some of the hate that he helped to keep alive.

You know what's so pecuilar about these types of threads...

Folks are more concerned with gossiping and "outting" some oversaturated mainstream rapper than actually paying any mind to the REAL LGBT emcees that ARE "out" out there and have actual followings.

Gay hip hop isn't a dream. It isn't just some of-the-moment trend picked up by a corporate music magazine. It isn't a joke, nor a fantasy. It's an actual growing movement.

It's really happening and it's making noise worldwide whether any of you choose to acknowledge it or not.

Personally, I think gay hip hop/homo-hop is the most wildly progressive, creative and revolutionary thing to happen to hip hop (music/genre/culture) since RUN-DMC dropped "Sucker MC's."

me and my girl was just talking about this the other day....
Baby & Lil'Wayne when she mentioned that they are out down in Louisana and they were like really gully about it...like yeah I dare u to talk shit type stuff....I always wondered why Lil Wayne referred to Baby as Daddy when you know they are not blood related. That right their is gay man shit...gay men call and older gentleman or some who cares for them their Daddy.

Supposedly,Mase and Diddy were "messing around" in the mid-90s.This apparently prompted Mase to give up his rap career and become a minister.
