Very cool tune. That's a common tactic among some of the instrumental Jazzers to get a vocalist on one tune for some pop play. Lee Ritenour specifically did it again on his... ...Wes Bound release (great guitar CD btw) with Maxi Priest on Waiting In Vain. One of the most popular examples of this would be the Grover Washington/Bill Withers colab on Just the Two of Us.
