Ive just discovered.......John Denver. please dont laugh.....im so confused.
What an amazing talent he is,great singer, songwriter. I try not to get into country music as a rule but surely he is the exception. For those who dont believe me please listen to the original "Leaving on a Jet Plane" what a beautiful song. peace. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

What an amazing talent he is,great singer, songwriter. I try not to get into country music as a rule but surely he is the exception. He is not really considered country. More of a folk singer than country. In the first half of the 70's there were a number of mellow sounding singer songwriter types. John Denver was one of the most popular. For those who dont believe me please listen to the original "Leaving on a Jet Plane" what a beautiful song.
peace. That may be his best song.

i like a lot of music.
I especially love discovering new music. this might sound controversial but how many wars have been started through music as oppossed(sp?) to religion, race and the like. It's a shame people are cracking on his ass eventhough he was high as hell when he crashed. I really used to love watching his specials with the muppets in the 70's. "Take Me Home Country Road To The Place I Belong."

"Take Me Home Country Road To The Place I Belong." I confess - I've been known to sing along to the occasional John Denver tune. Life ain't nothin' but a funny, funny riddle...thank god I'm a country boy! If the worst that can be said about you is that you had some cheesy songs, your life can't have been that bad. He had a nice voice.

Still give me chills I was visiting a friend in college at her home near D.C. and we went on a drive through West Virginia and began singing that beautiful song. Few moments in my life have equalled the bliss of that drive.

Yeah? Mine was Johnny Cash. Age 7 or so. It was past my bedtime so I remember stretching out on the bleachers and sleeping next to my parents with this incredibly loud music all around me.
