yes, its true there is a difference between being overweight and being obese but obesity is just overweight to an extreme. because people have a genetic predisposition to being overweight it stands to reason they also have a higher chance of becoming obese. thin people, regardless of their natural ability to be thin or not, still have the capability of gaining weight. they still have fat cells that expand just like everybody else, including the predispositioned person. this naturally thin person may still pay attention to a healthy diet and exercise - something that's good for everybody - and end up even thinner than their naturally thin body was in the beginning. does this mean they should stop watching what they eat and stop exercising? the majority of very thin people out there are only thin because they follow a healthy lifestyle. yes, some are crackheads and some are throwing up breakfast lunch and dinner, but most aren't. just like most fat people are not eating 10 pound meals eight times a day, though the minority of fat people may do just that. i suppose i could end the statement with "if i can see a bitches double chin, she's too fat" but i ain't gonna go that route.

i don't care what others think about my comments as long as my comments are accurate. i was just mentioning the double standard we have when it comes to certain things. we can bad mouth a thin girl for being thin but its "wrong" to bad mouth a fat person for being fat. we can say things like "white folks can't dance without the help of black folks" (another post in a thread making the rounds these days) but god forbid if we said a black person needed the help of a white person for some innate ability. there are just so many hypocritical people in the world, it blows my mind sometimes.

i think mary kate and nicole look fine. so they're skinny...who cares? why is it ok to get harsh on girls for being too skinny but not ok to be harsh on girls for being too fat. these laws of PCness are out of control.

i've seen one photo in which lindsey looked bad with the weight loss. every other pic, candid or otherwise, she's looked fine. we all have bad photos lingering around somewhere and we'd have a lot more if paparazi were following us everywhere.

She had several extended hospital stays for "exhaustion" and other vague ailments earlier this year - and the boobs were gone when she checked out.

hmmm...i remember some of those hospital stays and i also remember her appearing on saturday night live around the same time...twice. she had her big ol' titties then, as well as the baby fat. the weight loss and subsequent breast size reduction are all very recent occurrences. those hospital stays were a while ago, no?

it should be noted that i have no idea whether or not she is coked up, throwing up, or starving herself. who knows? all i'm saying is that there are some straight up, crazy hypocrites in here and the only people that will get offended by that accusation are those whom it pertains to.

She still looked reasonable in April, then she had her next hospital stay, came out boobless and much thinner. Shortly after she dyed her hair with urine and the rest is history ("for a movie", she claims, although she isn't shooting anything at the moment, as Robert Altman recently dropped her from the cast of his latest flick).

maybe she had boob implants and something went wrong while they were in her. she got sick, which caused the first hospital stay while they did tests and then, when she finished the film she went in and had them removed. in order to avoid looking obvious, she lost a bunch of weight to explain the boob loss.

i mean, really, anything could be the case. we all jump on the latest rumour and preach it like we know something.

I don't think she was dropped by Altman. I think it was more a case of her having to drop out of it. Cameras were to start rolling in April (actually, it was initially set to film in January), but it's been delayed again and should start filming next month. I think it was a schedule conflict. I don't doubt that she's got some problems that are derailing her career, but it wasn't the case with Prairie Home Companion. Either way, it's too bad. She's a talented actress and one of my favorites of that generation of film actors. Hopefully she can pull it together soon.

She has nothing else scheduled for filming at the moment - I don't see why she couldn't have started filming next month.

This shoulda been a 3 post thread. I left my sarcasm very vague. I was gonna say something along the lines of fried chicken, watermelon, and Lindsay Lohan going together but thought better of it. It's absurd for her to think that--let alone say it. I doubt most black men know who the hell she is, let alone like her. I've gotta believe, like somebody said, that this is her clumsy way of saying that she doesn't like black men. Fine. We'll get over it.
