Music Squad: Please help identify this sample I'm here listening to Drive-by of Uh Revolutionist by Success N Effect, a political rap group (from Atlanta I think).
This album is from `92 and has tons of samples from the likes of: -Johnny Guitar Watson -Parliament -Funkadelic -Brick -Barkays -Ohio Players -Isaac Hayes -Grace Jones -Zapp -Starguard On the song "Raised From Depression" there is a 15 second sample played twice that I don't know. The rest of the samples are fairly obvious or at least determinable. In fact the main loop on the song is "Take Me Just As I Am" by Lyn Collins. That's not the one I need help with! here's hoping someone knows the original. THE SOUND FILE

Yeah the drums definitely sound like an 808 with Barry White's "I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little More, Babe".
So the music might be Ohio Players?

It sounds like all they did was add various drums/percussion... I bet the singing and all the music is from one song (that I'm trying to figure out).

So the vocals are part of this as yet unidentified sample? The drums/perc have definitely been layered. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn.
