I know what you mean.

But i think if she performed a new song, she would most likely be accused of using Live 8 as an opportunity to test the waters for her upcoming album.

Anyways, i wish she did a ballad in between LAP and ROL.

Okay, she doesn't necessarily have to play a new song, but how about something we haven't heard in awhile? "Live To Tell" would be perfect. This setlist is kinda predictable.

Entertain me David.

Madonna asks you to choose 3 songs for her to perform, which songs do you request?

hmmmm

i like your list except i would put Live to Tell in the middle and end off with Ray of Light.

Like a Prayer
Take a Bow (or another ballad like Live to Tell or Love Profusion)
Ray of Light

I love the fact she chose Ray of Light and Like a Prayer. It's the third song that's a bit iffy.

Donna reportedly said that Madonna could change her mind at any time.

Lisa Fischer is a popular black vocalist who has sung backup for Luther Vandross,The Rolling Stones, and many others. She released a solo album in 1991 'So Intense' featuring the R&B hit "How Can I Ease The Pain".She tours frequently with the Rolling Stones. Here's some photos of her...

Id love to hear Ray Of Light, Holiday then Like A Prayer. I know some of you will think im mad for choosing Holiday, but im thinking more in terms of the crowd she'll be playing to. A lot wont be big madonna fans, and a song like holiday will be universally known out there. That and shed be playing three really upbeat songs, which i think would be more appropriate.

BTW, id hope for a performance of Holiday & LAP simialr to that on the BA tour, something really upbeat to get the crowd going. Her version of LAP on the reinvention tour, whilst a great singalong, was a bit ploddy compared to the really upbeat BAT version. The chord she hit after the climax of "no choice your voice can take me there" was different and ruined the song a bit IMO. If she did these three songs shed be guarenteed to have the crowd in the palm of her hands.

Also, if i could add a fourth itd be Into The Groove. In fact it'd be cool if she came on to this, ala ReInvention Tour, witht he long bagpipe intro.

"Into The Groove" would be fine, but I hope she sings the original lyrics this time.On the RIT tour, she was singing that silly line "let me show you some moves,it's best to take it from me",which almost ruined the song for me disbelief

LOL, agreed. I was shocked when she sang the new lyrics. It was almost as bad as Prince's new version of DMSR.

Just keep it the way it was

Yeah I know, I was convinced she wasn't gonna use those stupid GAP lyrics, but i still loved the spin on the performance, i thought it was her best version of it live, despite those lyrics.

I'd gladly let Madonna step aside and walk away from Live 8 if it meant U2 would get a longer slot....

And ARE the Sex Pistols playing there or NOT?!?!?!

NO SLOW SONGS!!!!

NO LIVE TO TELL!!!!

She'd lose more people's interst if she did the slow songs. It's the type of event. If she only has 15-20mins hit them with what she is best at. Yes I LOVE her ballads, and they are her biggest hits, but people know her for dance.

Holiday
New Dance Mix of Like a Prayer
Music
Maybe a new song

and she used the first Live Aid to try out a True Blue song that wouldn't come out for another year.
You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna
