I think a lot of people think this because they think that Michael doesn't act black or doesn't fit the stereotype of being black..

everything Michael does screams he's a Country, Self-Hating, Closeted, Once poor Black man born in 1958. He can't escape that shit.

I still wonder if Michael wish he was a pretty boy like Prince! neutral

Sadly,I think his career is over, even if he survives these latest charges. He simply has too much baggage to carry around. These days, when people think of Michael Jackson, they don't think about music. They think about child molestation and plastic surgery. It's so tragic.I can't imagine him making any kind of comeback. If he is acquitted, many people are still gonna believe that he is a child molester.

On one hand, I feel the same way as u do. On the other hand, for some reason, I CAN see Michael coming out with an album, and if it's good, I can see it selling
like hotcakes. Producer L.A. Reid said that IF Michael was to succeed, he would should get a new change of address. Sell Neverland, move to New York, put out a new album with more ballad type soulful material and then do a scaled down tour. No huge arenas. He felt that MJ needs to reconnect with the real world.

Michael Jackson is too much of a freaking ICON to perform on anything less than huge arenas.

He fucked his own good thing up by being such a damn child and hanging out with kids. He has spent tons of money on a rediculous ranch called "Neverland" with amusement park rides, toys, and animals. He's also spent so much money on payoffs to past accusers and now on laywers for this court case.

Michael had enough money that he could have come out as a strong, proud gay man and absolutely flaunted it in people's faces. It wouldn't have mattered if he ever sold another record in his life because he had enough money that he was set for life. He had enough money that, if people called him words like "faggott", he could say "I'm a rich faggott and your money made me one, you stupid ass motherfuckers, now do something about it if you don't like it". He was in a position to have the last laugh but instead, he's the one being laughed at for running around with kids like a damned fool. He should have been running around with either full grown men or full grown women.....whichever it is that turns him on.

His career was on the decline before this scandal. Hip hop has dominated the charts for years and, unless an artist sells out to it, they don't usually do well. Michael also has a gay appearance and even if he did sell out to hip hop, he would never be accepted because I can't think of a more homophobic genre of music out there than hip hop.

Outside of USA, Michael will ALWAYS have Europe in general & Asia (especially Japan).

And forget Hip-Hop, Michael needs to do electronic.

He needs to hired BT & Daft Punk to help him with the next comeback album.

I admired him when he released the "History" album. This album had many uptempo funk tracks at a time when everyone else had slowed the tempo down and were doing hip hop. Michael still came out doing his own thing. He still had to mess it up by putting kids on the album, which was a turnoff. I didn't buy "Invincible" because when I heard the first single, I saw he had sold out to the midtempo hip hop generation. It took him years to do it, but he finally did.

If he's going for a more modern sound, I agree, electronic music would be the way for him to go. Some housy type music would be great with hints of rock mixed in it. I wouldn't want him to go full blown techno though. Since acid and techno took over house, the beat has become too fast (I never thought I would live to hear myself say that). There is such a thing as too fast. I've been in the clubs and the beat will be so fast that people are hopping around like rabbits instead of dancing with absolutely no rhythm. Music has to have rhythm to it. Then there are some of the acid type techno songs that sound really great but they are not really a full fledged "song". The entire song sounds the same all the way through. It doesn't break down in the middle or switch up within the song. You can put the needle anywhere on the record and it sounds the same all the way through. If Michael could come out with something like this but make it an actual "song" with lyrics, a chorus, a bridge, etc., he might be on to something. He would sound great doing something like Cher's "Believe". I think that's the last "current" song in recent years that I actually like.

nod Agreed. Perhaps, if Micheal did take a stab at the House Style it might revitalize his sound.

Do you think he will still have a career? Will the public and media turn on him? Just curious as to what you all think if this was to go down.

If I were Michael and escaped unscathed legally from his present predicament, 1st i'd take a serious look at the Man In The Mirror and make some decisions.

1. If there is a sexual/psychological/physical problem, get help.

2. Get an extreme makeover of the adult variety. (IMO "Captain Crunch" suits on someone approaching 50 is pushing it)

3. If it's determined that he still can have a career in the biz (be it large or small), start work on a smoking record.
Consider a skillful non-trendy adult. (Quincy Jones maybe?)

4. Get out of the house and on the road.
As others have said, if the U.S. won't have it, there's a big world out there willing to pay for him to get on stage.

I'm not sure what he should do....but I have noticed one thing. All of the other Megastars of the 80's--- Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, etc....have aged with their core audiences, and their music has matured with them--in other words, they're not chasing the teen market. If young people like their music, that's fine, but these artists aren't pandering to them. Michael, generally speaking, is still obsessed with trying to be the hottest thing around, and Pop just doesn't work like that when you get older. There may be some young kids around that are MJ fans, but most of 'em couldn't give a rat's ass about ol' Mike! why not try making music for people over 18 now? he's got a true artist's talents and abilities , but apparently wants to just be the entertainer....If he put his energy into pushing his boundaries and trying to be the best artist he can be, instead of obsessing about how many records he's going to sell, it'd be amazing what he could accomplish...

I agree with you 100%. People are so quick to offer their advice to MJ, saying what he should or should not do without any real knowledge of him.

He should ignore all of these people and go live somewhere secluded for a while, write some songs and then come back with a hit album.

Fuck those know-it-alls telling him what to do! mad

Very good point.Another thing that has always bothered me about Michael is,in the 90s and beyond,he became a trend-follower instead of a trendsetter. He started working with every "hot" R&B producer he could find (Jam and Lewis,R.Kelly,Rodney Jerkins, etc).Albums like 'Dangerous' and 'Invincible' have their moments, but too often, the songs sound like everything else you heard on the radio at that time.Michael is much too obsessed with how many copies his albums sell.

See,that's the problem.Michael has spent many years not listening to other people's advice and look at the mess he is in right now! He's obviously surrounded by a bunch of wimpy "yes men" and non-concerned family members who don't question anything he does.

Says you. But you really don't know that, Michael has vehemantly denied being gay previously. I remember at least one "I'm not a homo" statement from him in the late seventies. Raised as a witness, he more than likely finds homosexuality abhorrent in all it's shapes and forms (including abusing boys)

I don't think he's against homosexuality anymore, tho. He's given thanks to Elton John many times and a lot of his key advisers over the years have been gay, too.

I don't think he has had as much surgery as people have claimed. He's admitted to having his nose done (like he could deny it anyway lol) and his chin. Beyond that I think he's probably had botox injections, but that's not considered plastic surgery though, is it?

he's had his nose done about four times in total, chin dimple and implant and that's about it.

Rather than lying about it, Michael answers questions about his surgery with the disdain and hint of annoyance these questions deserve. He's being polite, i'd prefer him to say "look this is fucking tedious!", but you can't have everything.

See, I think he's had it altered more often than that. Not that it matters, after all it's his nose so he can do what he wants with it. But I would say he's had it done at least eight times. The alleged re-shaping of the jaw, cheek implants and eye work are all bollocks in my opinion, tho'.

Not sure how many surgeries MJ's had but I do find it odd that every few years he just looks different and it's more than the nose. There was a period where his eyes looked further apart, sometimes they look heavy lidded like he's sleepy, then there was the whole frozen mouth fiasco. He said his face is just changing but it seemed weird for someone's face to change that much and in such a way. Usually for men the faces just fill out more, maybe widening with weight gain and a larger brow area from a slight receding hair line. I wonder if anyone else has notice such changes. Now he looks okay I guess.

As for the "I'm not gay claim." Maybe he isn't or maybe he's convinced himself he isn't or maybe he thinks he isn't because he hasn't actually engaged in an act with another man. Maybe he's not even that in touch with his feelings enough to know. It seems he's really protected himself from intimate relations with adults with the exception of LMP and even she said he loved her as much as he was 'capable' and implied that the sex eventually stopped.

Just thoughts and speculations while we wait for the verdict.

Because every year he looks more and more like a fucking monster.

When Bad came out, everyone though, what has he done!? Looking back now, compared to how he looks today, he looked fairly normal then!

He keeps raising the bench!
