It is obvious from your lame ass response that you are not a funkateer. So keep listening to that lame-ass fake Amerie Go-Go and leave the funk discussions to those that are in the know. 1) this wasn't actually a discussion about funk. it was a discussion about Amerie 2) "it is obvious from your lame ass response" that youre palette of musical tastes is pretty limited. there's more to life and music than funk, darling. it's okay to like unadulterated pop. it won't make you a poser. it won't make you uncool to your friends. it'll make you a more well-rounded person to branch out and experience more than one sound. it's okay for music to be fun. 3) i'll say and do as i please, when and where i please, with no impediment from you. 4) (but most importantly) your sphincter is would pretty tight. you need to loosen up a little. take a few tips from Whitney maybe. Go 'head Gray King. Laura generally gets mad at everyone on this site... then goes a little overboard.

Here is one thing to think about....
Being originally from the Midwest, I was never exposed to Go-Go until '94 when I heard DJ Kool's 20 Minute Workout while in NC listening to the RADIO. From then on I was hooked "it's the weekend time for freakin!" It is a type of music that never grew out of it's region. Being in NC, I'm fairly close to the region, and we are also filled with a lot of relocated northerners. So it gives you some hot flavor. We aren't a crunk/dirty South market per se. It's a unique flavor. But the rest of the country west of the East Coast is hardly familiar. You can call it a trajedy or the best thing happening to regional pride. Amerie's production talking about using that form of music is exposing it to different listeners. Dude, this is so not that serious.

I'd hate to be her man. That is, if she can even hold onto one with that shitty ass attitude. Silent shouts, I hope you hear

You didn't, I see I don't think that's a dig at Aaliyah-- check my last post or two for that . I think abierman is referring to the idea of a deceased woman with a voice. Maybe I'm wrong though. and Aaliyah did have a beautiful voice!
