The Misfits - She

She walked out with empty arms
Machine gun in her hand
She is good and she is bad
No one understands

She walked in in silence
Never spoke a word
She’s got a rich daddy
She’s her daddy’s girl

She loves naked sin
He loves evil sex
She has lost control
They are growing old

She will hide in silence
Then her day will come
She was virgin vixen
She is on the run
She is on the run
She is on the run

headbang

There is a song called "The Devil In Ms. Jones". I don't know who sings it, it's an r&b song. Around 75, 76. But, this song used to scare the shit out of me! I mean, really. Whenever the song would come on the radio, I would turn that shit off. Some woman is laughing all through the song, like a witch. Very evil sounding. Ya'll know who sung that?

I did some research and I think I found that song! R&B singer Jerry Butler released a single in 1976 called "The Devil In Mrs. Jones".The lyrics were inspired by the popular porn flick of the same title. The chorus goes...

"The Devil in Mrs.Jones
makes me want to make love all night long
The Devil in Mrs.Jones
makes me want to raise some hell of my own"

interestingly, there is actually a famous porn actor by the name of Jerry Butler lol

sexy poison-ii-vaa-a-hay-a-hay sexy

She comes on like a rose
But everybody knows
She'll get you in dutch
You can look but you better not touch

Poison Ivy
Poison Ivy
Late at night while you're sleepin'
Poison Ivy comes a creepin' around
She's round

She's pretty as a daisy
But look out man she's crazy
She'll really do you in
If you let her get under your skin

thumbs up!

I bought that when it was released years ago - on reviews alone - and, each time I come back to it, it amazes me. It's like Summer on a disc. Not one bad track on that album.

I've never bought any Steely Dan albums... maybe I should give them a try hmmm

I have to repurchase Kamakiriad as my copy is on cassette!

Definitely do some Steely Dan. Maybe i'll post a suggested list once I get to work.

woot!

I've read loads about them but - for some reason - never tried them out. (Apart from Donald Fagen). I know Aja is supposed to be fantastic.

If you have any problems finding 'Kamakiriad', let me know and I'll get a copy for you.

Thanks, tA.

Yeah, it is. From the 80's. I believe that's who sung it, though. Those lyrics sound familiar. And the year is right as well. Got to be it. Thanx, dave! I knew u would kmow.

Jolene, jolene, jolene, jolene
I’m begging of you please don’t take my man
Jolene, jolene, jolene, jolene
Please don’t take him just because you can
Your beauty is beyond compare
With flaming locks of auburn hair
With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green
Your smile is like a breath of spring
Your voice is soft like summer rain
And I cannot compete with you, jolene

He talks about you in his sleep
There’s nothing I can do to keep
From crying when he calls your name, jolene

And I can easily understand
How you could easily take my man
But you don’t know what he means to me, jolene

Jolene, jolene, jolene, jolene
I’m begging of you please don’t take my man
Jolene, jolene, jolene, jolene
Please don’t take him just because you can

You could have your choice of men
But I could never love again
He’s the only one for me, jolene

I had to have this talk with you
My happiness depends on you
And whatever you decide to do, jolene

Jolene, jolene, jolene, jolene
I’m begging of you please don’t take my man
Jolene, jolene, jolene, jolene
Please don’t take him even though you can
Jolene, jolene
