Carmen Mcrae was a REAL savage(musically). She, Betty Carter & Abby Lincoln are the next generation after Lady, Sarah & Ella(musically) they're the ones who passed the torch on to the next generations so to speak.

She's(Ms.McRea) was also behind the timeless standard "Dream Of Life".

I love Carmen Mcrae. I have a few of her cds and some compilations. Her voice is liquid gold.

One of myu favorite songs that shes done is "How Long Has This Been Going On". She IS AMAZING. God rest her soul.
