Hilary Duffs to release greatest hits? It's been like 5 mins?
Hilary Duff has recruited a pair of very good friends to bring some rock to her forthcoming LP, Most Wanted. The 17-year-old recently said that Good Charlotte frontman (and rumored boyfriend) Joel Madden and his twin brother, Benji, wrote and produced three songs for the album. The disc will be a collection of the singer's most popular songs, along with four brand-new tracks. "It's awesome because they're three of my favorite songs I've ever done," Duff said Saturday during an event promoting her new film, "The Perfect Man." "It was really fun being in the studio with them." The actress/singer, whose multiplatinum 2003 debut LP, Metamorphosis, spawned the hits "So Yesterday" and "Come Clean," is more than ready to undergo a musical transformation of her own. "[These songs are] a totally different sound. The first one we're going to release is very dancey, kind of pop — not '80s, but kind of with that in it, so it's very fun. Another is more techno, like DJ Sammy almost, and the third one is a pop-punk song, more like [Good Charlotte's] music," she said. The album is slated for release on August 16, but for now, fans can catch the actress in "The Perfect Man," alongside fellow blonde beauty Heather Locklear. In the film, out June 17, Holly, Duff's character, concocts a plan to rev up her single mother's self-esteem by delivering her "the perfect man," an imaginary secret admirer who appears to be just what her mom is looking for. In other movie news, she will also reprise her role as Lorraine, Steve Martin's daughter, in the sequel "Cheaper by the Dozen 2," which is slated for release next year. Finally, the multitasking young star will be hitting the road this summer for an extensive cross-country musical trek — the Still Most Wanted Tour — kicking off July 12 in Los Angeles and wrapping September 25 in Puyallup, Washington

this just goes to show how mediocre the music industry of today has become "Americans consume the most fast food than any nation on Earth and the stupid motherfuckers wonder why they are so fat? " - Oprah Winfrey

I like the Hillster, but that is beyond absurd! The funny thing is, watch them miss like one of her four singles!

That's pretty good. As someone who embarassingly owns both of her proper pop albums (yeah, she's only had two albums that weren't soundtracks or a Christmas disc) all I can seriously think of is..... Why Not? (In my opinion, a very good pop track) So Yesterday (maybe her only real hit single, the first offical single from first CD) Comin Clean (kind of a pop song, also kind of hit) Fly (the only single I can think of her last CD and also the "When Doves Cry"-esgue song from "Raise Your Voice"...it like "Doves" because even though it has some live performing, it's included in an emitional scene and was probably added after the movie had been done) Our Lips Our Sealed (a duet with hanger on sister Haylie from the "Cinderalla" movie which I didn't even see!) That's five songs! I think she also did the theme song to "The Lizzy Maguire Show" and since she is on the Disney label, that's a possible addition. Considering her songs are scattered on soundtracks, it's not a terrible idea but calling it "Most Wanted" imples a hits set and that ain't right!
