I still remember when they were planning on releasing a new album in 2001. They even had ads in magazines for it and made an appearance at the BET Awards in 2001. Onion Juice appears courtesy of Streethop.com

who the hell designs their album covers? lol

There's no point in buying that since I have all their albums. I wish they would come back with a new album, though. K-Ci & JoJo alone just don't cut it for me.

Yeah, when DeVante had a Jheri-curl mullet, Spice Girl space boots, a mink pocketbook and was as a kite.

You gotta get "The Show, The Afterparty, The Hotel"....it's definitely a great album....not as good as Diary, but maybe a close tie with Forever My Lady....

Funny that I use to borrow it when i was around 8 years old. So I just skipped it to the uptempo tracks like "u got it" and the superfunky "sweaty". Love them tracks still. Where is "gotta love"? Their first had a steller swing side. I loved their uptempo's. Sorta like stevie wonder with balls. "gotta love" was a big single. I still got the video of them dancing in their orange suits etc.....hardcore fans hated the uptempo's, but thats what I liked best. "forever my lady" was co-written by my man al b sure! (I think) Shows u how rnb was moving. "the show, party....." album had no uptempo's. Their last was too samey. Devante wanted a job working for prince at first.

Dangit! I tried. And no, I won't be buying it. I have everything on there except for two songs and I'll be damned if I'm gonna shell out 17 bucks for two songs.

I still cannot beleive "gotta love" is passed over. Cannot remember "sucsess", is that off their second album? Devante went in hiding along with al b sure! Kyle west and timmy gatling (too obscure)

Kyle west and timmy gatling (too obscure) "Success" is the "hidden" track on Diary...it's pretty good, although the fact that it's "hidden" (there is about 3 minutes of dead air before the song beings) makes it annoying...

Timmy Gatling -- there's a blast from the past! Guy's original third member (prior to the addition of Damion Hall). I bought his Help project on cassette. I liked a lot of stuff from that album.

You definitely should...I would recommend "Diary of a Mad Band" to start off....I think it's definitely their best album.... Devante has done a lot of production work on other people's stuff from Missy to 2pac....

I know he did some work with pac etc.....he shoulda been in demand as r kelly was. Both of them spearheaded the 90's rnb slowjam. hey dook, I guess u dont like the swing stuff or the uptempo stuff off their second album?

I love this album. Really strong newjack. Paisleypark and hotlegs should keep an eye out for it. Yeah timmy was swindled out of guy. I think he is on the backing vox throughout their debut.NOT damien hall. he also did a few ballads for bellbivdevoe. One of them being "when will I see you smile again".

Both albums? i love the misonginist songs like "play thang" "alright" (all newjack was misoginistic) and from their second, the missy featuring "sweaty" "you got it" etc..... On cd, it says "cherish" (the 60's cover) is bonus track. U got that? Love their version. Love the singing on that track. "x's we share" is unbderated. Harmonies shine on that one in particular. It may seme average to u, but "x's we share" is a personal fav. Iam gonna pull out my 3 jodeci albums. Thanx for reminding me. kci and jojo are also on the remix of al b sure track "Misunderstanding" 12". So if u see it, pic it up. Very jodeci sounding (for obvious reasons)
