I'll probably just giggle.

All depends on the moment. One to last time I met an artist I told him I did not like his album much... that's always a good first line!

Nah....

Ermmmm. I'll just tell her how much her music has meant over the years and that she owes me a picture together. Then Lars will take the pictures and I will do my brown-eyed magic on her. Hehehe.

Anyways. Nuf about ME, what did YOU tell her? Did YOU get to see her at the meet n greets?

Which artist was that? eek

And about the meet n greet...

I had it all planned out what I was gonna say and do. I wanted to tell her about my "Cooling" story and why the song was so important to me. And I had a copy of my b-sides set and was gonna tell her my psychic moment of calling it the "Beekeeper" and beg her to put out a box set, a la "Join the Dots". But then once I got there, I changed my mind. There were WAY more people than I expected, so I felt like I didn't have time. Plus, they were all crying and telling her sob stories, and all of a sudden I felt kinda bad for her, like she was Jesus carrying their sins. I'd probably feel differently next time...not sure. But what I did do was take a picture of Nikki and give her a really fancy and somewhat expensive sculpture from a local artist that I love. Unfortunately, she didn't have a chance to open it, so I was kinda bummed about that. Next time, I'll have to ask her what she thought of it.

But yeah, definitely get pictures. One of Isten too. biggrin

The artist was a cute male redhead that will go unnamed online, hehehe.

When I meet an artist I just love to meet them without any alterior motives. I just want to say the music means so much to me and that is why I am acting so ridiculous and wanna take a pic of me and her, hehehe.

I am thinking about a star TORI! star t-shirt though... just for fun. Or her name in a Led Zeppelin font....

No! Don't trivialize it.

I'm kinda like you. I don't like going there and asking for a lot. I'm past the days when I wanted an autograph and a bunch of photos. To me, that's asking for something. I'd rather go and just talk to them or give them a gift. These artists have given me so much through their music and performances, that it's a chance for me to give something back. I like that.

And an example of some of his work...

He deals exclusively with the female form. Much of his work is inspired by goddesses and mythology, much like Tori's. I wasn't just gonna give her some stupid sand dollar. I wanted to get her something that I know would be meaningful and symbolic to her. Plus, I know she likes to do research when she goes into each city about local artists and musicians.

That's cool. Wouldn't it be nifty if she ended up using them somehow.
