Favorite Bootsy Albums

I really favor The Ahh...The Name Is Bootsy album from 1977 and the Player Of The Year album from 1978. Those two are actually his essential recordings..

I TOTALLY agree, though I would give a slight edge to Player Of The Year..
simply for
the BRILLIANT funk of

ROTO-ROOTER

(baba.. troubleshooter)

these 2 albums clearly are the best of what Bootsy has done - in terms of the music & lyrically. I play these 2 albums more than I play anything else by Bootsy..
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

Stretchin' Out is my fave, followed hella closely by "Aaah, The Name Is Bootsy". Those two, to me, are the two best written, and best produced albums by him.

I think all of the first 3 are great! Not sure which of them is my favorite...but it gets kinda shaky after those 3....

also, for a good idea of his live shows at his peak, check out the CD Live In Louisville, '78:

All don't know what it is, it seems like I keep listening to the Glory Be Da Funk's On Me: The Bootsy Collins Anthology in my stereo. Anybody have this collection?
