remember when patti labelle used to roll around the floor?

hooked my laserdisc up to the new 60" HDTV projection and pulled out some of my favorites from back in the day...the Look To The Rainbow concert (circa 1984-85)by Patti was one of those throwback events that you'll never see agian in life...the outfits look super cheap..but man, when she sings Isn't It A Shame..and drops down on the floor and starts rolling around while singing...just don't think any female can match that stage presence anymore...i just feel like a teenager again. biggrin

If you like those days of Patti going all out, you've got to check out Paris Is Burning. It's an outstanding documentary from 1991 about the Harlem drag balls. There's a hysterical Patti routine from one of the queens during the closing credits. It's spot on!

we all knew he was just a dirty gurl from Fayette Street here in Baltimore (Fayette Street was the focus of HBO's drug epic "The Corner" back in 2000, just as a point of reference..)
