Extreme lovers, where are you? One of the greatest rock bands ever is Extreme, and there is hardly anything on them on the web. What a shame.
And to add insult to injury, you can't find their B-side stuff ANYWHERE!?!?!?!?!!!! Is there anyone out there who can feel my pain? "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

Pornograffiti and Sides to every story are great, but lets not go crazy, they were very good, not great.

As far as I am concerned, III Sides was one of the best Rock albums ever. I like Extreme for the same reasons I like Prince. They are different and very talented song writers. Waiting For the Punchline was their next best album, and it was superb! Porno was their best total Rock album. They were never afraid to take risks with music, just like Prince. Don't really like the band that much but "Hole-Hearted" is the bomb! Everytime I hear that song, I am immediately transformed back to my college days. I love this freaking song! All good things they say never last...

I admit, they are an acquired taste. But so is Prince. "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

There is an Extreme site (I forget the name - just do a search) that still follows Nuno and the boys with their current bands. Nuno was/is a fantastic musician. He's like a freakin' god over in Japan, along with Paul Gilbert. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

I have to admit that I used to like that song b/c of the catchy lyrics and accoustic guitar.

III Sides had (to me) some really thoughtful songs.
I liked "Shadow Boxing" from "Waiting For The Punchline." Extreme were really Van Halen influenced so it should have been a no brainer to get a good CD from VH with Gary. I guess the world understandably wanted Dave back. Their performance at the Freddie Mercury tribute was the best of the whole show.

I was in the studio last night, and one of the guys started playing "More Than Words" ... man that took me back. I remember being really into Pornograffiti and 3 Sides at the time... although I expect I would struggle to listen to either of them now And if I remember rightly, Extreme were the first band I saw live

This was another pleasant accoustic song by this duo which I dug alot b/c the guys harmonized well on the tune.

They used to play out here a lot in the late 80's. One of my old bands opened for them. Nice guys and they are huge Prince fans. Gary Cherone (lead singer) did the whole show with a "Dirty Mind" t-shirt on.
