Hmm..You know how football fans sing that sarcastic chant when someone gets a red card, you know, the one that goes to the tune of "here we go":

"Cheerio, cheerio, cheeriooooo, cheerio, cheerio, cheerioooo-oooo" etc etc.

May as well give the customers a laugh, huh?

Based on prior posts, it looks like I took this too seriously.

As guests enter...
Moon, Turn the Tides...Gently Gently Away - Jimi Hendrix

During the service...

L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato - Marian Anderson
(Let me wander yet unseen)

Have You Ever Been (To Electric Ladyland) - Jimi Hendrix

Seven Steps to Heaven - Miles Davis

Walk Over God's Heaven - Mahalia Jackson

Let's Go Get Stoned - Ray Charles

As guests exit...
Voodoo Child (Slight Return) - Jimi Hendrix

Inscribed on the back cover of the program...
If i don't meet you no more in this world
I'll meet ya on the next one
And don't be late...don't be late!

And the obvious comedy choice:
Dead Man's Party - Oingo Boingo

There are times when I look above and beyond
There are times when I feel your love around me baby
I'll never forget my baby
I'll never forget you

There are times when I look above and beyond
There are times when I feel your love around me baby
I'll never forget my baby
When I feel that I don't belong
Draw my strength
From the words when you said
Hey it's about you baby
Look deeper inside you baby

(Bridge)
I dream about us together again
When I want us together again baby
I know we'll be together again 'cause

(Chorus)
Everywhere I go
Every smile I see
I know you are there
Smilin' back at me
Dancin' in moonlight
I know you are free
I can see your star
Shinin' down on me

(Together again ooh )
Good times we'll share again
(Together again ooh )
Makes me wanna dance
(Together again ooh)
Say it loud and proud
(Together again ohh)
All my loves for you

Always been a true angel to me
Now above
I can't wait for you to wrap your wings around me baby
Wrap them around me baby
Sometimes hear you whisperin'
No more pain
No worries will you ever see now baby
I'm so happy for my baby

(Bridge)
I dream about us together again
When I want us together again baby
I know we'll be together again 'cause

(Chorus)
Everywhere I go
Every smile I see
I know you are there
Smilin' back at me
Dancin' in moonlight
I know you are free
I can see your star
Shinin' down on me

(Together again ooh )
Good times we'll share again
(Together again ooh )
Makes me wanna dance
(Together again ooh)
Say it loud and proud
(Together again ohh)
All my loves for you

There are times when I look above and beyond
There are times when I feel you smile upon me baby
I'll never forget my baby
What'll I give just to hold you close
As on earth
In heaven we will be together baby
Together again my baby

(Chorus)
Everywhere I go
Every smile I see
I know you are there
Smilin' back at me
Dancin' in moonlight
I know you are free
I can see your star
Shinin' down on me

(Chorus)
Everywhere I go
Every smile I see
I know you are there
Smilin' back at me
Dancin' in moonlight
I know you are free
I can see your star
Shinin' down on me

Seriously, if I have something by someone else played besides my own, I used to ALWAYS want "Maggot Brain" played. But, I'll end up going with "The Love Theme From Orca". That is I believe the most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard in my life. And I've that that ever since I was little.

Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead by the Wizrd of Oz Munchkins
or Don't Cry For Me by Ce Ce Winans...

either one is cool smile

Artist: Lyrics
Song: DING DONG! THE WITCH IS DEAD Lyrics

Munchkins
Ding Dong! The Witch is dead. Which old Witch? The Wicked Witch!
Ding Dong! The Wicked Witch is dead.
Wake up - sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed.
Wake up, the Wicked Witch is dead. She's gone where the goblins go,
Below - below - below. Yo-ho, let's open up and sing and ring the bells out.
Ding Dong' the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low.
Let them know
The Wicked Witch is dead!
Mayor
As Mayor of the Munchkin City, In the County of the Land of Oz, I welcome you most regally.
Barrister
But we've got to verify it legally, to see
Mayor
To see?
Barrister
If she
Mayor
If she?
Barrister
Is morally, ethic'lly
Father No.1
Spiritually, physically
Father No. 2
Positively, absolutely
Munchkins
Undeniably and reliably Dead
Coroner
As Coroner I must aver, I thoroughly examined her.
And she's not only merely dead, she's really most sincerely dead.
Mayor
Then this is a day of Independence For all the Munchkins and their descendants
Barrister
If any.
Mayor
Yes, let the joyous news be spread The wicked Old Witch at last id dead!

Don't Cry For Me

Here we are again
That old familiar place
where the winds will blow
No one ever knows the time nor place

(chorus)
Don't Cry For me
Don't shed a tear
The time I shared with you will always be
And when I'm gone, please carry on
Don't Cry for me

No one is the blame,
my death was meant to be
Don't carry guilt nor shame
The reason why I came soon you'll see

(chorus)

Don't cry when life is not the joy it should be
With life comes pain
Soon time will end this course appointed
and you will be rewarded
and all the world will see

Don't Cry For Me
Don't shed a tear
The time I shared with you will always be
And when I'm gone
Life still carries on
Don't cry for me
We'll always be
don't cry for me

Holy Ghost - Barkays

( priest ...I'm hoping they'll have a party/Celebration rather than a bona fide funeral....)

Actually, at some point, I hope they play my favorite tune:

Awakening - Narada Michael Walden(featuring Carlos Santana)
