i haven't heard her stuff but i've read some good stories on her in music magazines...i'm gonna see her in july as part of the intonation music festival here in chicago - i look forward to seeing (and finally hearing) her.

i've always found her to be a worthy and dynamic adversary. if only she'd just stay dead....

Anyway, I'm not enthused. The stuff this new director (the guy who did "Layer Cake") has been talking a lot of bullshit. Putting down the source material. Putting some very strange info out there. Talking about downplaying the DP stuff. Up-playing the Juggernaut... I mean, wtf. And apparently Beast (Kelsey Grammar), Kitty, and Angel are all in the new one. Which is only going to add to the problem of individual members of the cast being left with too little to do (I'm talking Halle Berry and her #1 bitch about the last 2). Unless they're really going to take a hatchet to the payroll and get rid of Rogue, Bobby, Peter (who they really really ought to be using.... his X2 appearance was tantalizing and gives me goosebumps).

Yes, her beats are spare, but I think they work. Jean's not one of those bling bling rapper who needs all kinds of flash and studio tricks in her music. Listening to her songs with a good pair of headphones is a real trip anyway, the layers of vocals she uses. I don't have any of her What What material, except the couple tracks that appear during the last 45 mins of "bootleg of the bootleg" ... Great stuff tho. I'm just loving her stuff right now and wanted to give props.

I have posted numerous threads in regards to Jeanius Graesey Love her!!!!! she is off the meter she can shit on half of these bama ass cats that are out now...been peepin her since Natural Resource that woman is long over due...Taco Day is brilliant story telling...I will agree her beats are kind of so so especially in the beginning with "The attacking things..." but she stepped it up and is progressing slowly but surely on into the other 2 releases production wise...I had a advance of "This week" a month before it came out...I was sooooo open....I hope she blows up the way she deserves to...and cop all of her shit...if u are a hip hop purist who do is tired of 106 & park crap,you will not be dissapointed...I want to hear her do a callabo cut with some of my other favorite chicks...Bahamadia,Heather B.,Medusa,Apani B.Fly Emcee,Invincible,Rage.etc...

I keep hearing about this Taco Day cut, but I can't find it anywhere. I notice a lot of her underground tracks are labelled as freestyles, I wonder if I do have it unlabelled somewhere. I've got like 7 hours of Jean... Could you hit me with some lyrics from this track?
