Someone stop me from listning to this Chaka song!!!

Pardon Me (You Remind Me Of A Friend).

UGH!!!! I cannot get this song out my head ever since I bought Rufusized a month or so ago. Since then I have been singing it and listenin 2 it almost everyday. He vocals are just top notch. My record player plays my 331/2's about 2.0 pitch higher, so when I heard it on "best Of Rufus" album it was terribly slow!! I went in2 my computer and even edit it so that it sounds the way I haer it on record just to play it on my walkman.

Sorry is this an obsession with a song? I havent been like this about a song since "Ceramic Girl" by Ready 4 The World (about 2 months), "Sweet Thing" by New Edition (about 5 months), and "Good Love" by Prince (about a good 8 months!!!). I simply played those songs so much I dont even listen to them anymore...this will end up just like them.

Great tune, written by Brenda Russell. Actually she was Brenda Gordon at the time, but she married her songwriting partner at the time, Brian Russell...Ironically they were signed to Elton John's label, Rocket Records, right after she wrote this tune!

Anyway they cut the song first, but later gave it to Rufus and Chaka....
