SPICE GIRLS REUNION! Spice Girls set for multi-million dollar reunion
24 May 2005 Grrrrl power is revving up again, with reports that the Spice Girls may reform – with the lure of a $26 million pay day each. The all-girl band were the mega-earning darlings of the media in the mid-1990s, selling boppy disc after disc in their millions and regularly appearing on chat shows to tout their zesty brand of lippy independence. But, after disbanding, the power slipped a few gears for the Grrrls - Sporty, Ginger, Mel B, Posh and Scary – with none of them really making it big as solo artists. But Sky showbiz news reports that some in the music industry think the girls could each earn more than $A24 million ($NZ26 million) if they staged a reunion show and then went on a world tour. Mel B revealed on GMTV in Britain that the five could be near to agreeing on a special reunion show to mark the 10th anniversary of their first single, Wannabe, in July 1996. When Mel was asked if they would get back together, she replied: "I think so, but that's just me. Hopefully next year, if we can get everything sorted and together." She said she had spoken to Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm about the idea and would be seeing Geri Halliwell soon, adding: "I haven't been to see Victoria [Beckham] because I've been working...but everything is cool on that front." One report said the group might consider a show at the new Wembley Stadium next year. Let the rain come down...17 days....

i think Geri left too early. if she had toured the US with the Spice Girls released another album and than gone solo things wuold have been better for her and at least Mel C. You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

I think they can. England has been particularly nice to them. (I think Geri has four #1 solo hits in the U.K.) It's the other countries that they should worry about.

90,000 people? I don't think they've got 9 people who'd admit to liking them now. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently
