Anyone else a fan of Curtis's music and is there any CD's you recommend, preferably a boxset if one is available and other songs you recommend.

You can't go wrong with any of his records between 70-76. Not a single bad song on those albums. Well some bad album covers, but that's an entirely different deal.

I suggest you'd look up for those newer "double-feature" releases that have two Curtis albums packed in one (for a little more than a price of a middle-price CD). They usually have a classic album and "a lesser known" one for a bonus. I think they were (re-)released around 1999-2000.

Has anyone ever heard of this collection? I don't plan on getting it, but it looks pretty attractive.

The man was an amazing talent : singer, songwriter, AND an extraordinary guitarist. Hearing somebody like him makes me even more aware of the lack of great talent that we have today

i got the superfly soundtack and the sparkle soundtrack, and claudine i love 'em all. i'm amazed at all the good music in one spot. sparkle is my favorite tho.the staples soundtracks i never heard of. at one point i was quite smitten with "the makings of you" when i heard gladys knight's version on the radio. i made sure i got a hold of it and once i did it was in heavy rotation for a long time. nod
