I'M serious. u just have to listen to George singing "kissing a Fool" and it just does it for me. he completely blows prince out of the water when it comes to vocals

I give Prince his props as one of the ultimate consummate musicians but just because he can hit supreme high notes/low notes and sing in a quirkier, cooler falsetto than everybody else doesn't mean he's a better singer than anybody else. Xavier may have a point.

There are many vocalists better than Prince.

There are many guitarists better than Prince.

There are many songwriters better than Prince.

There are many dancers better than Prince.

There are many rockers better than Prince.

There are many balladeers (& funkateers) better than Prince.

There are many eccentrics(?!) better than Prince.

But who can package all this much, better than Prince?

i can certainly think of more proficient or more trained voices than prince, but i certainly wouldn't put george michael on that list.

and that's not to say i think george has a bad voice. quite the contrary.

George Michael is undoubtedly skilled - Prince is an absolutely unbelievably diverse and versatile musician.

When GM is singing within his range his voice is damn near perfect. But his range is more limited than Prince's. Not saying that it's worse, just more limited.

As much as I love Prince's voice (especailly his falsetto), I have to say GM puts more passion into his music and his voice is undeniably, PERFECT!!!

His music is tottally underrated and I would love to hear GM and Michael McDonald do a song together, or GM and Prince! But of course that'll never happen.

George Michael? The lead singer of INXS that strangled himself while snapping his beans?

i'd agree, that for the most part, GM does have a superior singing voice to Prince. on the other hand, there are things that Prince can do (or will do) that George can't (or won't). this makes Prince the more dynamic singer.
