bobby says whitney done with rehab

Brown says Houston has finished rehab
NEW YORK (AP) — Bobby Brown says he believes that his wife, Whitney Houston, has successfully completed a second stint in rehab.
"I'm very confident," Brown told Access Hollywood in an interview Tuesday night. "She's my lady and she's doing wonderful. Everything about her spirit right now is just great ... we're enjoying life again."

In March, Houston checked herself into a rehabilitation center for the second time in a year. Houston, who had said she was using the power of prayer to get over drugs, married Brown in 1992.

Brown, who has a history of drug and alcohol arrests, told Access Hollywood that it's been difficult for both of them.

"It's a team effort whenever somebody is ill," he said. "It takes two to make things work, so I have to be there for her just like she was there for me when I went through my rehab stint."

The 41-year-old Houston has been working on a comeback album.

"She's going to start recording," Brown said. "Hopefully, I will get to work with her on this album. mad "

Brown, 36, is the subject of a new eight-episode reality TV show, Being Bobby Brown, set to debut June 30 on Bravo. The show will also feature Houston.

Whitney and Bobby have become a media joke.Nobody takes them seriously anymore.
Whitney is so talented, and that's why it's heartbreaking to watch her throw her life and career away.If she were really serious about getting her act together, she would...

***dump Bobby
***go back to rehab....NOT JUST FOR A FEW WEEKS,but for as long as it takes.A year or more if necessary.
***concentrate on her singing.Record a stunning comeback album that reminds people why they became fans in the first place.Put the focus back on her voice.
***cancel all plans for ANY reality shows!
***Show a little sincerity and take responsiblity for her actions, the way Natalie Cole did after her drug days.Natalie got herself together, wrote a book, went on talkshows and talked openly and honestly about the evils of drugs and how it nearly killed her.She made people want to root for her.Whitney,on the other hand, refuses to take her problems seriously.Remember that infamous "crack is whack" TV interview from a few years ago? Whitney looked like a damn fool.

Unless she does those things I suggested, she's over disbelief

it's an intriguing concept.Imagine what Whitney could do with songs like "I Know I'll Never Love This Way Again" and "Walk On By" music

just as long as she doesn't remake that wretched hip hop album dionne did with all those rap cameos

Though she subsequently made a series of infomercials for the "Psychic Friends Network," Warwick never stopped singing. Last year, for her album Dionne Sings Dionne, Warwick recut her 1966 hit "What the World Needs Now Is Love," with Coolio, Kurupt, Bobby Brown (husband of her cousin Whitney Houston), Big Daddy Kane and Flesh-N-Bone. mad eek

Though Warwick had once spoken against the negativity of rap music, the recording session with the rappers seemed to go smoothly.

"When you're bringing artists together that don't normally be together, ... and it all comes out harmonious, that's love right there," Kane said of the track.

"Everybody is so into it; they want to be here," Warwick said. "They wanted to be a part of it. The unity here, it's more than I expected — it's over the moon."

Natalie has been milking her drug addiction story for years. I'm glad for her that she got through it, but it has really overshadowed her music. I'd love to see her start talking about her music, the here and now, instead of reminiscing over a dark point in her life over and over.

Hell, she should record an album while she's on drugs, it might give her ass some rhythm. She might surprise everyone and put out something hard and funky instead of that lame ass adult contemporary pop shit she's been doing since day one.

Yeah, with two lighters and a crack pipe. I bet she can work those lighters better than a DJ can work two turntables. lol

Good for Whitney...Now when is Bobby going put himself in there? Kinda off topic but has anyone ever seen Debra Wilson (MAD TV) do Whitney? It's so realistic it's almost frightening.

Good point. But I'm just glad that she dealt with it.She knew she had a problem and she didn't run away from it.Extreme measures were taken to make sure that she got help she needed. At one point in the early 80s,her mother even took legal control of her finances and career, since Natalie was obviously unable to think straight. In 1984,she went to rehab for a long time, and totally kicked the habit. She then was able to bounce back and enjoy a late 80s/early 90s comeback. She spoke openly and honestly about her problems (perhaps a little too much,as you suggested, but still...),and people were happy for her. These days, her career and life is in great shape.

Whitney needs to take the same approach. She needs to realize that she has a serious problem, and take extreme measures to fix it.So far,all Whitney has done is made a few brief visits to a rehab center. She did that tacky TV interview a few years ago where she basically made light of the whole situation. She's not taking this shit seriously. The fact that she's continuing to stick with Bobby and planning to participate in a (sure-to-be disastrous) reality show with him...well,it just shows that she still has a long way to go.She's just turning herself into an even bigger media joke.
