The Spice Girls were top of the charts in 96 and 97, big in the US and when Geri left and they went R&B they lost a huge majority of their fans. As solo artists, Geri has had most success but in terms of album sales I doubt they have sold in excess of a million copies combined of their solo work.
Will their reunion succeed?, I would say I have mixed opinions. Their best song IMO, is 'Say You'll Be There' although lyrically it's rather weak. Spice Girls appealed to a wide target audience, but I'm not sure who their main audience will be now. Good luck to them but if they are a success I can't seem them selling millions of records like they used too and IMO if it's all money motivated it won't succeed. But thats just my 2 cents.
