If so, then yes, that would be a big, gross rock star crush. Hmm...repulsed, not really. I mean, when I see pics of him at the height of his addiction, he does look sick and gross, but mostly that just makes me sad. At least he's clean now. Can't say the same for Layne I'm afraid. Sad but true. Layne's addiction was so destructive. That much makes me sad; his billygoat facial hair is what sorta grossed me out. But then...I still thought he was hot. But lets move on before I fess up to more gross rock star crushes.

This is probably too obvious - but if nothing else, it would serve as a reminder that there was a time when the Stones were an astonishingly powerful band. Albums just don't get any rawer or harder than Exile on Main Street:
Slightly less obvious: if the idea of a cerebral southern rock band making a sincere, completely non-cynical rock opera loosely based on Lynyrd Skynyrd doesn't strike you as too annoying, there's a lot of pleasure to be found in the two discs that make up The Drive-By Truckers' Southern Rock Opera: [Edited 5/28/05 14:22pm]

This is my new discovery this weekend:
AEROSMITH - ROCKS (yeah, yeah, I know I am 30 years behind the times, but I am trying to catch up, at least!) I bought it on the recommendation of Slash himself in an interview in Classic Rock. I also bought You Gotta Move, the recent Aerosmith live DVD - These coffin-dodgers can seriously out-rock guys a quarter of their age! [Edited 5/31/05 4:44am]

That reminds me of a friend playing me a bootleg years ago of Jimmy Page playing Dream On live with Aerosmith... Don't remember much about it other than Steve Tyler saying at the end: "Well, I don't know about you, but MY dick went hard!" Dirty old man PS Thinking of going for "Toys In The Attic" next..any recommendations or is this a good move?
