These selections are all over the place. The original post needs to be more specific. Classic rock? Punk rock? Folk? Indie? Metal?

Stone Roses 1st album
Oasis - Definitely Maybe Bruce Springsteen - The River U2 - War, Unforgetable Fire, Joshua Tree...whoever said Pop has got be out of their mind...stay away from that one if you want a rock album. The Clash - 1st UK album and London Calling ...and all those others people have been listing...Floyd, Beatles, Zep, and Stones, any one of those are perfect intros to rock (esp Zeppelin imo). Check out American Beauty by The Grateful Dead while your at it. I hope whoever said Thriller is joking...

If you want Rock do not go with Radiohead's OK Computer. Go with "The Bends" instead 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

See, it's not just me! Even Bono agrees:-http://www.prince.org/msg/8/146935 I just think that U2 have some far better albums under their belt than Pop Each to their own.
