Just came across this today, Redd Foxx, star of Sanford and Son and the comedy stage, during his comedy days he recorded 56 albums and to date have sold close to 20 million copies combined, however at the time of his death, Redd Foxx was in and out of bankruptacy and basically died in debt. Its time for this madness to stop.

They need to release more of his albums in record stores. I've seen a video tape of Redd Foxx called "Plain Brown Rapper" and Redd was a very good stand up comedian.

Also, LaWanda Page (Aunt Esther) released comedy albums as well. She is my all time favorite comedian and she could absolutely put Redd Foxx to shame in the raunch department. I made a cassette copy, years ago, from an 8 Track that I borrowed from a friend called "Mutha Is Half A Word". In recent years, I've burned that same cassette onto CD. The record stores need to get her albums also. Today's comedians don't know raunchy until they hear LaWanda.

Don't get me started about "Dolemite"..He made some funny LP's. He was one of the original "rappers".

I've seen those on the Tower Records web site and listened to samples of them. It seems that they have spread some of the tracks from the original "Mutha Is Half A Word" onto some of the other CDs along with other jokes. Their "Mutha Is Half A Word" only has about half the tracks that mine does. What people won't do to make extra money.

The same friend that lent me LaWanda's 8 Track back in the day, also lent me Dolemite's cassette. Dolemite can talk plenty of cash shit.
