Same old shit.
But wait! They actually try a more uptempo melody on a few tracks. However, they are no REM - no matter what, Martin's voice sounds like he's drunk and depressed. He's still stuck in Yellow-land, apparently. Can the guy get any more boring? [Edited 5/20/05 15:39pm]

I think they could be great songs, and I think this could be a great record - without Martin. What a whiny, complaining voice. I thought he would grow out of it. Guess not! There's nothing here to rival Clocks or Yellow, anyway. [Edited 5/21/05 15:42pm]

[Edited 5/21/05 15:42pm] I dont think its so much of the sound thats changed, its the band.. they have grown into a full, unified sound compared to the last two albums.. its really refreshing.. I dont think martins tryin to be radiohead.. or U2.. I wish the comparisons werent around, but I knwo they always will be.. I think its gonna be a fantastic record.. Fix you is amazing to me
