* "ricochet" from the let's dance album (which i could TOAD hear bjork covering)

this is one of my absolute favorites as well - it would be nearer the top of my list if it weren't broken up into three tracks, which annoys the crap outta me.

Why does it bother you? It's not like there's a break between. Although, of course that makes you wonder why they're seperated at all.

i love his new shit - 'heathen' is one of my favorite bowie albums, easily up there with his so-called 'glory days' work.

i hate when i'm doing the random bowie jukebox thing on my mp3 player (as i'm doing right now, in fact), and the middle of this suite of songs pops on, then pops right back out in the middle. mad

and yes, GF, i would be eternally grateful for a glued together version...i was thinking of puzzling it out in nero, but i don't know when i'll have the time or headspace for such puzzling. thanks, kitten - as always, you rawk. hug

Yeah Iam not a fan of bowie.

I did like the al b sure! duet he did "white tie, black noise". Not typical al b sure!. But I love al's voice. I bet bowies wife iman suggested he do a duet with him wink followed by a threesome of herself, bowie and al b sure!

eek Yeah al b's name is kinda funny. His music was anything but funny. Did I get the title mixed up about the al b duet? My brother is a big fan so I played the al b duet a couple of times years ago. I remember it sounded very cluttered. Lots going on.

Al b is a bit chubby LOL. But I still know a few who fancy him (one of my ex's for one).....but really, Whats the story behind the duet? I think my theory is pretty good.

not for nothin', but seeing as how bowie started out as a failed sax candidate for little richard's band, has written magazine essays on james brown albums, and more or less discovered luther vandross, i'm sure he didn't need iman to introduce him to al b. sure. smile

actually, i think he discusses it in a documentary that was made about the 'black tie white noise' album, which was recently reissued on DVD (of course). i don't remember exactly what he said about the collaboration, but there's a video for their duet. other than 'jump they say', i don't have a lot of time for that album - i don't think it's bad, i just think it's terribly bland.
