Debarge "all this love"

What an absolutely beautiful hallmark card ending for a song. I choke up sometimes listening to it.

Beautiful tune, written and sung magnificently by El DeBarge.

Great tune, one of my favorites from DeBarge. I like El's nod to Marvin Gaye near the end , with that "Say you really love me, baby, Say you really love me, Darlin'" line...
....It especially recalls Marvin's tune, "Soon I'll be Loving You" on the "I Want You" album, with the riff:

"I was really lovin You Baby, I was really lovin you, darling..."

That is sweet. nod

I dig the section, which is right before that I believe, he uses a slick melody to sing...

As the sun has its place up in the sky
I love you so dearly
And all the same, there's no need to wonder why
I need you, please hear me

Eldra Debarge to be exact wink Love Debarge, I wished that someone with that "type" of voice would come out and make songs like Debarge did. I thought Corey Clarkson from American Idol could have done that and tapped on a great void in the industry. He was always my favorite idol cuz of that, and now look what he did! no no no!

the best debarge EVER is " I know just how you feel" or is it "this time love's for real" I don't remember the title but it is their BEST song ever.

I didn't realize El was so into Marvin until the release of The "In the Storm" LP is pretty much a bonafide rip of the Marvin Gaye persona. The album cover resembles the "Sugar Shack" portrait by Ernie Barnes that graced the cover of the LP "I Want You". It also contains the cover of "After the Dance" w/ Fourplay. There are so many lyrics, phrases and ad-libs that are straight carbon copies of stuff from Marvin's studio and live LPs of the 70s.

All this love, it is a nice, smooth yet soulful ballad..

but I too prefer I like it - it's "sassier", & the that high note that El hits at the very end of the song is amazing.

El can definitely sing..
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..
