Defining Moments What is the defining moment or CD that moved an artists or band up a significant notch in your book in how you viewed them?
Obvious examples for some: MJ on Motown 25 or Ricky Martin’s Grammy performance For me it was: Prince: Lovesexy Tour Aaliyah: when she hosted some show on MTV and I knew she had a lot more to offer David Bowie: seeing him perform live for the first time at Brit Awards in 1999. Priceless. Pat Metheny: Letter From Home Cyndi Lauper: opening for Tina Turner Madonna: MTV VMA performance of Vogue Hanson: seeing them perform the acoustic version of Penny and Me Joni Mitchell: The first time I heard Night Ride Home I was sold Sheila E.: Live performance at Tramps, NYC Erykah Badu: Worldwide Underground Tour EBTG: Driving love this song to this day Incubus: Drive The Roots: MTV 2 Dollar Bill concert The Jacksons: Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert 1979 NIN: Closer Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Man....did someone say Don Kirshner's Rock Concert? I was 11 when that was on but remember KISS being on there and being really fascinated by them after that. So for me, it would be KISS. (Kings in Satan's Service)

I think I remember KISS being on Don's too. They scared me for days. A kid use to chase me around class with one of their vinyl albums that opened up in the middle. I think it may have been was of the live albums. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
